"When my son entered kindergarten he was quite shy. I worked with him on opportunities to engage people. In the line up at the grocery store, in the Dr’s office and with his teacher and the staff at his school. When my son’s kindergarten teacher missed time off school to attend the funeral of her brother, I wanted to take the opportunity to show my son the art of condolences and at the same time express to her our support. I approached her with my son in hand after school upon her return. “ I heard you lost your brother.” I began. Before I could continue my son savagely yanked on my arm and, when I glanced his way exclaimed loudly, “MOM! She didn’t LOOSE her brother, he DIED!” Now I was flustered. “Well” I continued, “we just wanted to let you know how sorry we are.” To which my son quickly asked, “Mom, why are we sorry, we didn’t kill him, did we?”"   Submitted By: NULL
