Our Clarenville Wintering Geese
First when I returned to Newfoundland and Labrador in 2000, I would worry myself sick over the welfare of our geese who stay here for winter. But obviously they like it here, have been doing this for years and years, and on this particular day my husband, A.J.Lowe captured this shot of them lingering along the edge of the ice. It was a brutally cold day, and they huddled together more than I have ever seen them do, obviously for warmth. They are such beautiful creatures and we love them. Submitted By: Bonnie Jarvis-Lowe
