Old House, New Generation
Our summers growing up were always spent in Newfoundland, visiting our family and friends that we never saw throughout the year. It was always a very exciting and welcomed vacation. One of our regular holiday excursions was to go to North River to visit my Great-Grandmother, my Dad’s grandmother. It was always an interesting trip! Her house and its contents were very old and unlike anything I had ever seen anywhere else. As a child, my Great-Grandmother was also the oldest person I'd ever known, and It always amazed me that this really old lady lived in this really old house all alone for years and years. The house was well maintained and the yard looked its best, nothing ever changed from year to year. Submitted By: NULL
