Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained I
At approximately 7 p.m. on April 14th, the BS Venture, a 50-ton longliner from Rocky Harbour, went aground while returning from the seal hunt. The vessel had engine trouble just north of the Rocky Harbour lighthouse and was blown ashore in a wind storm. Skipper and owner Wil Decker along with his entire crew made it safely to shore. Decker is hoping the craft can be re-floated some time today.
