Northern Bay Walks
Going for walks when we were youngsters wasn’t a chore
We’d sing all kinds of songs until our throats were sore
Always out in the nice fresh air
Fancy free in the world we didn’t have a care
My friends and I would gather up as much change as we could
To buy a small chips and gravy from Hogan’s that were “some shockin’ good”
Sometimes we’d walk up the track to the Trestle brook
To catch some trout all is needed is a line and a hook
I treasure those moments with old friends of mine
I wish I could see them more but my memories are fine~
