Newfoundlanders – Bridging the Generation Gap
Hi, Ron, Just to let you know that most Newfies who have moved to other parts of the world still have Newfoundland at heart. Recently, we had a birthday party for three wonderful people; my sister-in-law, 80-year-old Louise Hagan (Domalian), originally from Brent's Cove (shown on the map on the cake); Gerard Hogan, 70 years old, from Northern Bay; and his 50-year-old daughter, Margaret. The photo is of the celebrants with children & grandchild, as well as Adrian & I, who flew there for the special celebration. Many of our nieces & nephews are also on that picture. It was a very hot day, but everybody took advantage of Sherrie's pool to cool off. Food was great, as were the drinks. Highlight of the party was a Newfie quiz, with our team winning with 9 out of 19 right answers. Prize? What else - a bottle of Screech. With Newfie music playing in the background all day, we wanted to show that Newfoundland is very much in the hearts of all Newfs' minds. Submitted By: NULL
