How majestic are those big snow white pieces of glacier
The blue and greenish hues are undeniably a trick of nature

They are composed of freshwater so we can harvest the ice
To create refreshing drinking water or a Vodka of choice

The waves crashing against them can be breathtakingly beautiful
But to float beside one is frightening and truthful

What we can see above water is massive for sure
But below the ocean its size is 90 per cent more

We weren't allowed to swim in the ocean if one was to be seen in June
We'd scan the horizon so no fear of "the chill in the water" all too soon

Icebergs can be beautiful and fearsome at the same time
They’re actually a much smaller portion of what they left behind.
