Newfies came from all over the US for the Annual Newfie Picnic in Lisbon, Maine held at the home of Steve and Daphne (Adams) Izer in July. It was a reunion for many, with some attending for the last 30+ years. There were wannabes and honorary Newfoundlanders. The Screech-in ceremony and appearance of the mummers were big hits. Many NL dishes were totally enjoyable. 82-year-old Betty Puddicomb who has not been home in years stated "your kitchen table is as close as I will ever get to 'back home,'"The Squid Jiggers entertained with Newfie and Irish tunes and we all had a great "scuff."   Submitted By: Daphne Izer
