Nan’s House
Nan’s house was open to all
Everyone who went there was sure to have a ball
My cousins and I would hang out and meet
And enjoy milk/butter and sugar on bread as a treat
Nanny taught her grandchildren how to play cards so we’d behave
Especially Scat which was one of her faves
Many a night we’d find Nan playing Solitaire
Music on, a beverage in hand as she sat in her chair
When she got ill she still liked to play
She said she "remembers everything" that day
I’m sure she is playing cards up in Heaven above
And looking down fondly on those she loved
I LOVE YOU NAN!
