"my sea gull pet when i was a kid, i found a bird, that i really thought was dead, i put him in cardboard box, and took him to my dad. my dad said, ""rose, that birds a gull, but, you can keep him for a pet,"" he made a pen about six feet high, and covered it with a net. the poor bird had a broken wing, no way could he take flight, i bandaged it up the best i could, and i covered him up at night. i fed him fish to give him strength, and i'd holler, to see him run, i even poked him with a stick, that bird was lots of fun. i bet he thought, that i was mean, and i was trying to make him die, but, what he didn't realize, i was only teaching him to fly. because, it wasn't long until there was nothing left but, poop, the sea gull that i doctored up, just up and flew the coop.
