My Pet Caplin
I have enclosed a photo taken of my son back in 1985. I moved after school to Toronto, got married and had my son. When he was five, we took him home to experience the same feelings I had of visiting home. Well, it was caplin season, and we took my son down in Long Beach where the caplin were rolling in. Michael, my son, reached in and caught one all by himself. Well! He would not go to sleep without the fish he caught, so my dad tied it to the dresser for him. He was so happy. Of course, when he fell asleep we tossed it. The next day we told him he got away and went back to the sea to be with his family. A few days later, he saw my dad frying caplin, and that's another story. Submitted By: NULL
