My husband ate a science project by mistake
My husband Jim has told this story many times and I dont think he ever quite recovered from the Event. He was living in a boarding house in Clarenville where he worked around 1975. On this particular day he missed supper so he went to the fridge to find something to eat. He saw there was some meat which he thought was covered in a tasty sauce so he sat to the table and ate it. He said it didn’t taste very good but he was hungry so ate it all. A couple of hours later his roommate went to the fridge looking for something and was alarmed that it wasn’t there. He asked the other boarders if they had seen his science experiment that was in the fridge. It was there for a few days and it was growing mould. What my husband thought was sauce on the meat was really a mouldy gel and was getting scared when his roommate told him he was growing bacteria which was part of the science experiment. His roommate was upset that all the work he had done with this project was gone but Jim was more worried about being poisoned. That happened many years ago and was very relieved to have survived eating a science experiment
