My Experience With a Beautiful Yellow Butterfly
It all started on June 18, 1997. I was sitting on my back steps, out in my backyard, when a yellow butterfly flew down on my steps. It came so close to me. I touched one of its wings, then it flew away. On June 19, 1997, one a.m. in the morning, I received a phone call from my nephew. He called to tell me my dad passed away at the old age home where he lived. I was so upset about that bad news. I got dressed and my two sons took me to the old age home to join the rest of my family. It was a long, sad week when my dad was buried. I came home and went out in my backyard, because that was where I found peace and comfort. To my surprise, my friend the yellow butterfly came back again, flew down on my steps. I got angry at the butterfly, and told it to go away. I guess I didn't understand. Maybe that butterfly came to me as a message to let me know my dad was going to die, then came back to let me know everything would be fine in time. I do accept my dad's death now. I never did see the yellow butterfly again. Thanks for the story in your magazine about butterfly messengers. It made me feel at peace, and to accept things as they happen. Submitted By: NULL
