My human nature will always long
to enter the realm of music and song
where notes and words will always place
an inner smile upon my face.

Through the evolvement of material things
the universe will always sing
the spirit amidst all that moves
from the largest galaxy to the smallest groove.

Music and song, essential to our humanity
tremendously maintains our fragile sanity.
It lifts us to a high level
that by the negatives of life we are not bedeviled.

Words and notes soar through my soul
from everything that I behold
with varying degrees of soul-lifting beauty
which always calms me from being moody.

The perpetual cycle of day and night
can put my qualms to early flight
as I contemplate their created order
the musical movements impose on my borders.

The lake boogies, the rocks jive
and in deep waters big fish dive.
In the still of night the snowflakes fall
near an old time concert in the hall.

As I gaze out on the Milky Way
a universe of music is on its way.
The elements of fiddle, accordion and guitar
and a thousand others light years afar.

Still others, too numerous to comprehend
our galaxy is filled, from beginning to end
with forces of music, dance and song
