Mother’s Trap Line
Mother was sore frustrated
She had a plague of mouses,
The little beasts were making raids
From their little holey houses.
She’d tried the usual methods
Little springy traps and cheese,
But she couldn’t seem to find a way
To bring them to their knees.
Then she bought a sticky pad
And she caught them by the toes,
She even caught a couple
By their little wiggly nose.
Now at catching mice
Mam’s become an expert,
She sees no need for cats
She’s working on a rodent PhD
And majoring in rats!
