Moose!
"on a recent week's vacation to the delightful great northern peninsula i contracted a very painful throat infection. i visited the hospital/medical clinic in port saunders to acquire some medicating. while sitting in the spacious waiting room there were several mothers with small children. one lady with a wonderful small child of about 14 months was especially active and loved to run everywhere. in his travels he would start to run down a private corridor when his mom would holler "" moose"" on hearing which the boy would come to a screeching halt and make a bee-line back to his mom. this happened on several occasions and evidently the little boy was terrified of a moose and mom soon learned that this could be a major tool in defining his perimeters. it was a highlight of our trip to this wonderful part of nfld."
