This is a photograph of a lighthouse model built by Derek Knee, originally from Corner Brook, now living in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
This is a model of the Frenchman’s Head lighthouse, established 1901. It was located near the entrance of the Humber Arm, Corner Brook. The original tower as well as the keepers dwelling were demolished and a new tower was built and in operation today. The model is based on a painting done by artist Leslie H. Noseworthy in the book “Let There Be Light” - published by the Canadian Coast Guard Newfoundland Region Alumni Association. The height of the lighthouse model is 31” to the top of the light.   Submitted By: NULL
