My name is Ashley McGrath, and I am from the small town of Branch, Newfoundland. I am currently studying to become a Paralegal, while recently gaining a very busy schedule. I recently traveled to Toronto just this past August, to compete in the Miss Canada Globe pageant. During the pageant, I competed against girls from across Canada, who quickly became my pageant sisters for life. The pageant consisted of a total of four categories. This included Miss Canada Globe, Miss Canada Petite, Miss Teen Canada, and Miss Teen Canada Petite. These categories are based on age and height, and I competed in the category of Miss Canada Petite. I competed in many competitions such as evening gown, swimsuit, interview, and also representing my platform. During the regional competition, I was crowned your Miss Petite Newfoundland and Labrador 2019/2020. During the final night, I was picked to compete in the top five for my category. From much hard work and dedication, I was then crowned your Miss Canadian Petite MesoAmerica 2020. <br /> <br /> The Miss Canada Globe pageant is something that had a huge positive impact on my life, as I had the opportunity to grow in numerous ways. I was able to create friendships that will last a lifetime, gain an incredible amount of confidence, have the chance to make a difference with my platform, and be able to be a role model for youth and women across the country. With my regional title of Miss Petite Newfoundland and Labrador 2019/2020, I have the opportunity to represent and make a difference within my beautiful province of Newfoundland and Labrador. As a major titleholder being your Miss Canadian Petite MesoAmerica, I will have the chance to represent my country at an international level. I will be traveling to the country of El Salvador in 2020 where I will be representing Canada, and I am so happy I have the chance to show others the beauty and culture of our country. I have always wanted to be a role model for youth and women, and being a titleholder is giving me that opportunity.
