Million Dollar Longliners moored up In Valleyfield
It is sad to see so many longliners tied up at the fishplant wharf in Valleyfield, Bonavista Bay. The boats can't go fishing because of the DFO having so many new rules and regulations controlling the fishery and the fishermen. How can people feed their families if they can't go fishing to catch the fish? When they do go fishing the buyers offer them peanuts for their catch and sell it to world markets for millions. How times have changed and the future looks so grim for everyone. Submitted By: Frank Blackwood
