Midnight
Midnight
This poem is dedicated to Midnight who brough love, peace, happiness, and harmony to the lambert home.
Midnight
From whence I came I do not know
My journey was long. but not so slow
I was cold, hungry, and full of fear.
Then you picked me up and gathered me near
I felt your kindness shine through your eyes.
Your gentle touch ended my cries.
At days end you carried me home
I felt welcomed no longer to roam.
My hunger was great until I was fed.
Still afraid, I hid under a bed,
From under cover, I saw your smile.
I decided to stay but came out in awhile.
A bond was forged no one could break.
Changes were made make no mistake.
From Then on, I became moms’ precious boy.
Wrapped in love no one could destroy.
You combed my fur, petted my head.
Allowed me to sleep in your soft warm bed.
I became a sentinel always on guard.
Keeping the unwanted out in the yard
In our home I rule with steadfast pride
As for that handsome man there by your side
I mind him not for he is to me.
A necessary part of our family
I and no longer afraid or alone
I wish to bring joy an happiness to our home.
I love my name its so shiny and bright.
It matches my fur as black as Midnight.
Thankyou for your kindness and care
I have no intention of straying from here.
Jackie my mom you will always be.
Terry a dad makes a family of three.
Thatps purrrrrrrrrfect for me
