Metric Dippers
Here's a life's funny experience that occurred when I was in the army from 1953-57 in Germany: One clear frosty cold night in January, 1956, I was on guard duty with a buddy. As we patrolled the perimeter we could see all kinds of stars and the two dippers. I thought for a laugh I'd tell him that the dippers are bigger in Germany because they are metric. (We didn't have metric then.) He believed me and when we finished our turn and returned to the guard shack he told the rest of the guards and the corporal and they believed him! I left the room before I gave it away. Submitted By: NULL
