Lochlan Carter, one of Menihek Nordics “Menihek Minis” out for a ski. This program is designed for new parents and children under 4 year old to get some fresh air and exercise. Lochlan has been on skis quite a bit this winter when it’s not too cold here in Labrador West. His favourite trail is Beas Pleasure, he enjoys looking for foxes and stopping to see Walter the Bear.

As his mother and previous competitive racer on the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Ski Team, I have so much pride in seeing him hit the trails with a big smile. With the “Menihek Minis” program, my hope to inspire other young family’s to get out and enjoy this sport for life, hopefully inspiring the next generation of Menihek Nordic members and racers!
