Memories of Home
Blowing winds whistling among the cliffs
waves makes a lullaby song against the shore
the salty sea air so crisp and clean
ah! who can ask for anything more
walks along the rocky beach
and across the barren hills
ocean stretching out touching the sky
this breathtaking view can give you the chills
fields and fields of wild flowers
waving friendly in the breeze
how small and insignificant you feel
standing underneath those tall pine trees
fising boats bobbing on the deep blue sea
seagulls anxiously hovering above
the enormous whales peeking up to spray
memories...of the homeland that I love
yes Newfoundland has all these things
cliffs, the shores, the salty crisp air
and friendly people to welcome you
I'm so proud that I came from there
