March Mystery Solved
Dear Ron: The item that appears on page 12 of the March issue appears to be a container for gun oil. During the Second World War, a .303 Lee Enfield rifle was used and this container was stored in the stock of the rifle. A pull-through was used with a piece of flannel with the oil to clean the barrel of the rifle The spinal grooves, well cleaned, would increase the range and improve the accuracy. Submitted By: NULL
