Looking for a man who was in an accident from Musgravetown approx 1978.
My mother often spoke about the following account when I was growing up as a child. She has for years wondered what may have happened to the people involved in her story. Any information would be greatly appreciated. We have tried other means of information but have had no luck. Hopefully someone out there in ‘Downhome land’ can help.
From Emily King: My husband, brother and I, stopped on the highway years ago to help with an accident that had just happened. A car went through the stop sign coming from Adey Town Newfoundland & hit oncoming traffic. The oncoming traffic was a vehicle going West on the TCH. The person in that car was a young man from Musgravetown possibly in his early 20's.
I have a nursing background and we stayed to help him (as he was seriously injured) until an ambulance arrived from Come By Chance. The only thing I know is that someone said they believe he was transferred to St John's hospital. If memory serves, it was December 1978. I think of him every day and wonder if he survived the horrific scene.
Submitted By: Amy (King) White
