Look What’s Under Dale’s Newfoundland Christmas Tree
Each year, my wife Dale puts up her Newfoundland Christmas tree. It is a great reminder of many good memories from back home in Corner Brook and Bonne Bay. It is quite a conversation piece when friends come visiting during Christmas - especially those from back home. The tree is decorated with many different items all from Newfoundand that we collect when we are vacationing in Newfoundland each summer (i.e. every type of Purity product ever made, including cans of salt fish under the tree; snowballs; tea-cup cakes; purity kisses; actual squid jiggers; a label from each type of Newfoundland brand beer; minature wool socks and mitts; etc, etc.) Below the tree is Dale's mummer collection (all made by Denise Chippett from Leading Tickles) and we have purchased them from various gift shops in Newfoundland from the Cabot Tower at Signal Hill to the Loft at Woody Point, Bonne Bay. Her collection grows with every trip back to Newfoundland. Submitted By: Clarence Strickland
