The Lil Charmers in this picture are actually little cousins. The parents of these children are first cousins and each December the parents have a first cousins party and leave the little ones with grandparents for the night. My husband Kent and I thought it would be nice to have a little cousins party the same evening. The children's party and sleepover have been a tremendous success. The little cousins are kept busy doing crafts, playing games and eating special snacks. They are most thrilled by a visit from Santa, who despite his busy schedule manages to have a little sometihng for each child in his sack. After Santa's departure the children settle down (eventually) for a sleepover. The next morning it's breakfast followed by cookie decorating, until the parents arrive to pick up the kids. Soon after, all is quiet, and we take a nap. This new tradition has been wonderful and we look forward to the "2009 Little Cousins Party" December 20.
