Lighthouse Cove, Quirpon Island
A shot of Lighthouse Cove on Quirpon Island, Newfoundland, taken on a foggy day in June 2005. My husband and I stayed at Quirpon Lighthouse Inn for several days, and had a great time watching whales and hiking around the island. We also enjoyed the drive from Deer Lake up the Great Northern Peninsula, through Gros Morne National Park. Beautiful scenery and hospitable people made for a wonderful vacation for us city folks. We hope to visit your province again and get to St. John's. Meanwhile, I'm trying to learn more about Newfoundland by reading everything I can get my hands on, including your magazine.
