A poem from my book entitled Slices of Life. I had this booklet published and copyrighted in 1997, while residing at Elliot Lake, Ontario.

I would like to share this poem with your reading subscribers. I've recently written about 15 more, and plan to have all poems (approximately 61) republished if I can find a publisher willing to do them. They deal with all aspects of life (birthdays, anniversaries, war, death, loneliness, seasons, etc.).

Let Us Live

Let us live in a world that's free -
Free from all pollution
With air so fresh and pure
And forests tall and green.

Let us make this world the best -
The best it's ever been
As we clean up all our toxic wastes
And continue with recycling.

Let us help the sun shine brightly
And the stars light up our eyes
Bring an end to foul emissions
And smoke that burns our eyes.

Let us live in a world -
Where we can all gladly say
Thank God for tomorrow
