Younger generation would not know The story told. Nailed to a piece of pine, Takes my thoughts way back in time. When warmer days of May or June, Wallpaper new for every room, If in the summer past, Cod fish provided little cash. So Mother's hands could mix with love, A flour paste, To brighten up the kitchen walls. Wallpaper added a little cheer After a long winter drear In villages along our island home.
