This is a photo of Nick, a 7-year-old cat from Burin who's owner had recently passed away leaving him in need of a new home. My mother-in-law June Parsons, from Loon Bay had heard of his plight and was anxious to help. She had recently lost her 13-year-old cat Tigger, (whom she had also adopted as an older cat) and was missing her company terribly. So they made the long and harrowing drive to bring an understandably nervous Nick to his new home. It took a few days to settle in but as you can see from this picture, he has settled in nicely and like most cats, now rules the roost!   Submitted By: Carol Parsons
