On July 24, 2008, I had my birth sister along with her husband and daughters, visit me from Ontario. My nieces were very excited to be here and the only things they wanted to see were puffins and whales. I had decided that we would take a boat tour out of Bay Bulls in hopes that I would be able to fulfill their request. It was a beautiful day on the water and we saw many puffins along with a couple of Humpback Whales in the distance. As we headed out further, the Captain decided to go in the opposite direction of the other tour boats. Within minutes, we were entertained by seven (7) Killer Whales! They swam around the boat and put off a show for us for over 20 minutes. It was magnificent! The captain had told us that he has only seen Killer Whales three (3) times in 20 years of being on the sea. It certainly made my nieces trip very exciting and memorable.   Submitted By: Kim Wells
