My parents met in St. John's during WW2 while my father, Barclay Robertson, a Cape Breton boy, was stationed at the Battery.
My Mother, Dorothy Hunt, was born in the city, spent several years in Greenspond while growing up, and then returned to South Side Hill in the city. She often spoke about her time working at the Purity Factory and shared Purity biscuits with us at every opportunity.
My parents were married in St. John's in August of 1942, while my father was still stationed in the city.
