Judy’s Catch
What a day we live in; take your fishing pole and some big fat spring worms, drive over to Charles Brook Pond on the Point Leamington Road in Central Newfoundland and catch your supper. Clean them over there - the crows need a treat every now and then too - and come back home, render out a little fat, roll them in flour and wack them in an iron frying pan. See, that's living; call up a buddy, and pray to God they got a loaf of fresh bread kicking around. Now get the kettle on, a bit of music on the radio and get out the date squares. My Son I knows your mouth is watering.
Gotta go. Supper's on the table.
