Joie To the World – Or At Least Alberta
We moved to Greenspond from Alberta in August '07. We went into the Gander SPCA about three times "just looking." As soon as we got settled in, we went back. There were dozens to pick from - but only one for us. She purred and followed us around. But she didn't like to be held. She has black spots all over that look like she was dropped down a chimney. She is missing a toe on her left rear foot. She also has a chunk missing out of her tongue - both probably from a rabbit snare. We paid her fees and had her spayed before we even took her home. She was about two years old and seven lbs. Now she's still a happy girl, and she weighs about 10 lbs. As you can see by the picture, she can sleep anywhere. Unfortunately, we only stayed in Newfoundland two years. We packed her up with us, and drove back to Alberta. She was the best traveller - not a sound out of her. So if anybody out there recognizes her, THANK YOU. Your loss is our gain.
P.S. I miss Greenspond very much, all of Newfoundland, in fact. I didn't get to see enough. I'll be back to visit again someday.
