“Joe, The Glass Eating Native”
"They say Newfies are wild and crazy! Have we got a story for you. Recently, I had the opportunity to meet my boyfriends co-workers, for the very first time. It was thier Christmas staff party. I had a wonderful time. The people I met were great. There was one particular couple at the party we seemed to click with. Joe & Lindy! Lindy....ver- Lindy! Lindy....very nice, smart friendly girl. Joe, very talented! (Especially while intoxicated.) We went to a local bar for drinks after the party was over. Joe insisted John be a ""real"" man and drinks doubles. By 3 am we were on our way to John's house. It was there Joe's true talent came to light. We drank a little more and we were having a converstaion about Newfoundland. Joe kept telling us that he thought Newfoundlanders were very nice, fun-loving people. Of course, I had to agree. During conversation, someone tipped a wine glass and broke it! Joe looked at the glass and then looked at everyone in the room. Before we knew what had happened he began to chomp on the broken wine glass. His mouth was bleeding but he kept chewing. John,Joe's wife and I began laughing uncontrollably. With that, John retired to his bedroom to sleep. Of course, with the amount of doubles he had ""inhaled' he passed out immediately. Joe discovered John had crashed and decided to torture him while he slept. Everything from shaving cream to spraying him from head to toe with a liquid form of A5-3-5. He had hot and cold flashes for at least 12 hours after! We laugh everytime that night comes to mind. Joe and his wife want to visit Newfoundland some day....and I'm sure he'd fit right in! I told him that Newfies are known to be crazy and wild but, never have I seen such a thing in my life. And I don't think I ever will. Mainlanders, jezzzzzz!" Submitted By: NULL
