Jiggs’ Dinner – There’s Nothing Better!
I only get to cook it three times a year
But I’d love it every Sunday, if my parents were near
It’s almost sinful it’s that shockin’ good
I savour every bite like you would
The cabbage, carrots and turnip + salt meat too
Blueberry pudding is some nice later with a brew
"Zest" sweet mustard pickles and beets are a must
And of course "Eversweet" or "Good Luck" on a bread crust
There was always custard and jelly at my house to finish off
The greatest of Newfoundland scoffs!
