Jens and Florence
In the November 2016 issue, Doug Wells told the story of the Harbour Breton war plaque project, which included the lives of two brothers, Jens and Philip Jensen.

Don Coates brought this photo in of Jens and a nurse, Florence Ledrew (Don's mother's aunt). Philip Jensen helped form a hospital for soldiers with TB called Jensen Camp. It was where his brother Jens also received treatment, and where Jens met Florence. They wanted to get married but due to his illness, he called it off. Jens died in 1923 and according to Don, Florence married someone else and moved to Alberta.
Submitted By: NULL
