“It’s raining, it’s pouring…”
"My 3-year-old niece and my 5-year-old cousin were the only children among the guests at my parent’s home on the evening of a family celebration. The girls were playing contentedly in the living room until the decided they needed a bathroom break. Everyone commented on how even girls that young go to the bathroom together. They returned to their place in the living room while the adults continued the merriment in the kitchen. After a while my mother heard this little 3-year-old voice, filled with wonder saying, “it’s wainning in na living room!” All were thinking how cute and creative girls on our side of the family tend to be when we heard, “look! It’s wainning on na tabow!”-ing on na tabow!” All was quiet for a moment and we heard drip drip drip. It was now also “wainning” in the kitchen! The girls had put the plug in to wash their hands, and also left the water running. The next morning when my niece came down for breakfast she disappointe- fast she disappointedly looked up at the ceiling and said “it’s not wainning today.” " Submitted By: NULL
