‘It’s Not a Pony, It’s a Cabbage Patch Horse!’ VI
Submitted April 2, 2008
A photo of my daughter and her minature ponies. My daughter's name is Katie St. George, and she is submitting these photos. We live in Hearts Desire, Trinity Bay, NL. Katie is 13 years old, and has a love for animals - especially her two minature ponies, who she takes very good care of every day. The dark brown and white one is called Bailey and is 7 months old; the one on the cart is named Timmie and is 3 years old.
These two ponies are the love of her life and she spends every waking minute with them; she has a bond with them no one else has. My mom says Katie is a very special 13-year-old, the way she calms these ponies and they way they love her. I call her the horse whisperer!!
The minatures are bred to be small, with the largest being only about 32 inches high, the size or a large dog.
There are a few around the island, originally brought in here, but some are now being bred here.
Our first pony came here from Alberta, but our newest one was actually bred here.
These little ponys are small in size, but full of attitude and full of love!
