It's Simcoe day in Ontario and Elva and I decided to row out around the point to enjoy the beautiful day on the water. Elva's Dad, Kenny Adams, in Roddickton, has built 125 boats; we call them "punts." They are spread out across the island and into other provinces. Elva's is No. 115. When Elva and I were home in June of this year he had picked materials to build another. Elva and I have been in Ontario since 1968 but we still love the water and enjoy a meal on the water. This picture was taken at lunch time. After rowing out into the windy lanes of Lake Simcoe, we threw out anchor and had lunch. Note that it's Vienna sausages, cheese and crackers. Thought you might be interested in seeing this photo. After 43 years away from our beloved province of Newfoundland, we still enjoy the call of the east.
