Pulled this one out of my memory bank from when I was a teen hitch hiking to

those fancy kick your heels up Night Club dances down the Shore.

This one hit me funny at the time and I don’t know why it is still buried

in the windmills of my mind.Looking back it had probably more to do with my level of intoxication at the time and the weirdness than the Comedic value.

Growing up in small communities where everyone knows your business and if

you forget what you are doing.Just ask the neighbours they will tell you.

After living away for 30 plus years it used to surprise me when I would visit

Trepassey. A neighbour would phone my sister to report she saw me at the local Store.

Anyway back to my Story.

It was not Uncommon for a Business to go up in flames if it was not making any money.One Poor fella had such bad luck that he lost a Couple of his Businesses

and a Long liner through fire.Well one local man saw me strike up a Chat with the

Poor fire victim and he took me aside and in a low Cautionary Whisper said.

I would be careful how you talk to that man.If you upset him.

He might go home and Set his House on fire.Now the fella who told me that

had a quick accent and spoke rapidly.Sounded a bit like a semi Automatic Rifle

Spraying a target on the Range.
