Ice Pancakes
I I have heard of these creations but have never seen them. Recently while visiting Northwest Brook near Clarenville, a resident pointed them out to me in Black Brook. They are formed when pieces of ice rub against one another and round off the edges. Then rims are formed on the edges in the moving water and as they freeze the rims join together. Another of nature's wonders. Submitted By: Ed Power
