I Miss Thee

What do I miss most
About my homeland o'er the sea
The things I've listed they are many
But I really mostly miss thee

Our paths they crossed relatively late in life
But I've grown to love every inch of your frame
You light in me with all your beauty
An inextinguishable and eternal flame

A beauty of form and a beauty of grace
For you so easy to inherit
The form reflected in your face
The grace reflected in your spirit

And now as we grow old together
Apart in earthly space
My greatest wish is that we leave
This earth together in a final embrace
