I Can See Signal Hill.
This one is short and sweet. We hope.
A friend of mine had just finished High School back in the early seventies and he got a job with a furniture store delivering furniture. It was before cell phones, GPS and computers.
Anyway, they had an address and phone number, so they gave the number a call.
They got a man on the phone who was the Poppy from out around the Bay.
He said, “Well Boy, sorry I don’t know the city as I am here babysitting for the daughter. But, if it is any help to you, I can see Signal Hill from the window.”
Most places in Town at that time could see Signal Hill. We thought it was funny. He tried to be helpful I suppose.
