John Howse and Doris Arnold were married in Glovertown United Church of Canada on August 2, 1946. On Aug. 2, 1996, we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. We had our vows renewed by Rev. Rex Norman, who married us in 1946, and in attendance were our maid of honour, Patricia Butt - the bride's sister, the best man, Lloyd Howse - the groom's brother, and the organist, Hilda (Dolly) Butt - sister of the bride. Many relatives and friends attended the 50th celebration at the Rock Haven Hotel in Peterborough, NL.
