It is very interesting, to say the least, to look at this hospital bill for my appendectomy done by Dr.Olds, Twillingate, NL in 1954. It was done at Notre Dame Memorial Hospital and is a real conversation piece. My parents kept it after all those years. It is interesting to note that anyone who paid their health tax, so to speak, received a reduction on the cost of even surgery. The bill speaks for itself.
