Horses completely live in the moment, they do not dwell on the past or worry about the future, and when we interact with them they expect the same from us. When you're in the presence of a horse, it stimulates activity in the brain not unlike what the state of prayer or yoga does. So it is actually a rewarding and uplifting experience to be in the company of a horse. All that is required of us humans is to be open to what other species can teach us, and to remember that wisdom does not always come from books or higher education but can sometimes come from very unlikely places like a horse pasture or barn.
These friendly horses were seen enjoying a beautiful summer day at Jigg's Farm near Bishop's Falls NL.
