Hope of Spring<br /> <br /> Hope springs eternal in the human breast<br /> and so we hope that spring will early come<br /> Despite the winter feeling March month gives<br /> although we sometimes get a little sun<br /> <br /> When March month comes we know the calendar<br /> appoints the date when equinox will start<br /> Although the weather plays so little heed<br /> and for some time March may play winter's part<br /> <br /> And sometimes March will help out winter to<br /> hang on a while and batter us about <br /> And perhaps provide transfer for the winter to<br /> ease in to April and still have some clout<br /> <br /> And then if April's mind is to extend<br /> to winter a kind hospitality<br /> Then we may have to bear the burden of <br /> some snow and cold in May, before we're free<br /> <br /> So hope is what we have, what we can think<br /> that spring will early come with warmth and sun<br /> But hope may not be our reality<br /> and calendar can't say that spring's begun<br />   Submitted By: wayne taylor
