Hooked on Resettlement
I am enclosing a picture of a rug I hooked recently. This is something I designed to help me remember the place where I grew up. I was born on Sandy Point, St. George’s Bay, N.L. and lived there until I was 16. I am now 91. There are no people living on the island now and the buildings have either been moved or torn down. In my rug I have hooked some of the things I remember about Sandy Point, and I am hoping there might be some former Sandy Pointers among your readers who will enjoy seeing this picture.
